About Catmarag Cattery
Catmarag Cattery is a very young cattery, established in 2004 in Mandurah Western Australia.
Martin and Catherine Jackson, owners of Catmarag Cattery, fell in love with the breed when they
purchased two Ragdoll cross kittens in 2003.
The temperament of these magnificent cats is beautiful. They are true people cats.
It was then the idea of breeding and sharing these wonderful animals with others blossomed, and
Catmarag Cattery was born.
Martin and Catherine searched many catteries for their first cats. They didn't want just any Ragdolls,
as they felt it important to have the best to breed the best. They finally found what they had been
looking for at Jorags Cattery.
Joan Graham, is the owner of Jorags Errol, a magnificent Bi-Coloured male stud, who is the CCCOA Grand
Champion, Diamond Grand Champion, and as of December 2004, the COAWA Best Semi Longhair Entire.
Martin and Catherine were fortunate enough to purchase one of his kittens. Jorags Leboy, a Seal
Bi-Colour, of the image of his champion father.
Their female, Jorags Likeme, a Seal Bi-Colour Tortie Tabby, is the daughter of Ruby Grand Champion,
Jorags Julia.
The Cattery was designed by Martin, and built with a little help from his wife Catherine.
Knowing how cats love to play, much planning went into fitting it out with cat jungle gyms, tunnels and
scratchy posts.
Martin, an award winning wood artist, enjoyed the challenge of designing something different.
This year will be the first breeding season for Catmarag Cattery. With such beautiful cats, who have
champion backgrounds, the kittens produced will be spectacular. Although, at the moment, we have only
two breeding cats, plans are already well underway to expand.
Catmarag pride themselves on having a clean, disease-free cattery, where their cats have a relaxing,
stress free life with plenty of room to move.
